Description

The light arc stabilizer LSG 3E is designed for short-term stabilization of the light arc on a high-resistance fault in a cable line. The excitation of the light arc is carried out using a shock wave generator up to 32 kV. The LSG 3-E works with the active prelocalization method, which means that it has its own voltage source and energy storage. It delivers a pulse with a voltage of 2 kV and a power of 640 J into an excited light arc. The 2 kV voltage source can also be used without an additional pulse generator for preliminary and precise localization of faults with voltages up to 2 kV.
