The TTR300 series instruments are specially designed for the diagnosis of three-phase transformers. They are designed to measure the transformation ratios of power, instrumentation and distribution transformers in substations and in industrial conditions. The rugged and reliable design allows these instruments to be used in harsh environments. The wires are specially designed to provide the flexibility needed in cold weather conditions.
The TTR300 series is ideal for use in the manufacture and testing of transformer insulation. Their unique test methods and data storage capability allows the operator to prepare and test complex three-phase transformers (with stacked transformer output switches and feed-through current transformers) in significantly less time than other TTR series instruments. This test also contains pass/fail test limits for individual coefficients. The TTR300 series also measures the phase deviation of a transformer - primary versus secondary. This capability quickly indicates transformer faults such as partially shorted turns or core damage. This type of measurement is also useful for detecting phase errors in all types of power and current transformers.
Each device comes with a remote control switch for one person testing. This allows the operator to quickly test transformers with output switching under load.
