The M 219 light arc pulse adapter is designed for high voltage, medium and low voltage testing of cables with subsequent fault localization. When using the inductive method ARM (Arc Reflection Method), a very low-resistance electric arc occurs at the fault site due to the discharge of the pulse generator through the choke integrated in the M 219. When using the M 219, it is possible to supply a measuring pulse from the reflectometer while simultaneously protecting it from high voltage present in the cable. A short circuit caused by an electric arc causes a clearly visible reflection of the measuring pulse.
