CAT IV MIT400/2 Insulation Testers

The MIT400/ 2 series are insulation and metal bond testers designed for electrical and industrial testing. In addition, they have an exceptionally wide range of applications in electrical installations, cable testing, motor testing, automotive, building wiring, aircraft equipment, maintenance, etc. The accuracy of the insulation test voltage display has been improved with feedback controlled test voltages to limit overvoltage to 2% rather than the 10-20% that other instruments have. A variable range has been added to allow the use of any intermediate test voltage from 10 V to 1000 V in 1 V steps where a special test voltage is required which is not available in the standard ranges. Metal bond testing is now significantly faster, and a single 0.01 Ω to 1.0 MΩ autorange function replaces the "Ohm" and "KOhms" ranges. Test current can be selected 200mA and 20mA. New devices replace the old MIT400 series, have a redesigned case, a new more stable stand, a 6-cell battery compartment, fuses have been moved under a separate cover. Enclosures have been redesigned to increase protection and achieve IP54 weatherproofing.
