The portable portable analyzer "GISmonitor" is designed to measure partial discharges (PD) that occur in complex gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) as a result of: abrupt changes in operating conditions, the influence of floating potentials, cracking of insulation or spacers (gasket rings, bushings, etc.) .p.), as well as other types of degradation of the insulation system. The analyzer allows you to collect real-time PD data from several channels simultaneously (up to eight channels). Any ultra-high (UHF) signal can be detected and digitized within microseconds. To eliminate the distortion of measurement results caused by the influence of disturbing signals, the analyzer can be connected to an antenna for measuring noise, which provides gating (selection) of the signal. The GISmonitor has been designed to be able to work with all currently available sensors commonly used for PD monitoring in switchgear. This includes both built-in and external advanced UHF sensors. Dedicated input protection unit (IPU2) blocking strong transients (occurs as a response to fast transients (VFT) during switchovers in GIS). The FCU2 pre-processor demodulates UHF signals to a lower frequency band. This makes it easier to transfer data over long distances. The analyzer is supplied in a shock-resistant, waterproof case for outdoor use. However, other enclosure models are available, such as a lightweight desktop enclosure (½19" and 19" sizes) or a small black aluminum box enclosure.
Evaluation of the received data or diagnostics of the object can be performed using the GISmonitorPortable software package, for this the analyzer must be connected to a personal computer or laptop. This service software package provides parallel visualization of the current measurement results from eight sensors installed to control the switchgear. Each of the sensors is connected to a specific input channel of the GISmonitor. In addition to the standard possibility of obtaining the PD depending on the phase position, the GISmonitor Portable software allows you to obtain the PD value for a constant voltage. In this pulse mode, the PD is displayed as a function of time. Each GISmonitor handheld portable analyzer can also be used with a software package designed for the conventional (non-portable) GISmonitor GIS monitoring system.
