Peculiarities
• Generates its own test signal – providing accurate and reliable measurements even in the most challenging environments and where portable generator power is required. • High noise suppression and signal detection circuitry that handles interference currents up to 15 mA or signal-to-noise ratios up to 1:20 for the most accurate and reliable measurements even under the most difficult conditions. . • The widest frequency range for this type of equipment (1-500 Hz), which allows you to determine such details of the isolation characteristics of the insulation that are not available for detection by other test facilities. • Intelligent temperature correction technology (patent pending) allows the user to evaluate the actual temperature dependence of the test object by measuring tg  in a specific frequency range. The introduction of an accurate temperature correction based on a mathematical calculation provides a more accurate determination of the state of the insulating material. • Method for automatic detection of dependence tg  of insulation on voltage (patent pending). Some high-voltage components may have a voltage dependence near the operating point, which is found when testing to determine tg  (i.e., the insulation loss tangent depends on the test voltage). The DELTA4000 series implements a patented voltage dependency detection method and provides the user with an alert indicating that additional tests should be performed at different voltage levels. • Short test times – Dynamic hearthThe noise effect minimizes the actual test time. • Performing tan delta control (tg ). When tests to determine tg  (Doble test*) are required or specified, Megger's DELTA4000 series units fully guarantee these tests.
Description

The DELTA4000 series systems are fully automatic 12 kV dielectric loss factor (tg ) test sets for assessing the condition of electrical insulation in high voltage equipment, testing transformer windings, bushings, circuit breakers, cables, lightning rods and rotating electrical machines. Additionally, DELTA4000 test sets can be used to measure the excitation current of transformer windings, as well as to automatically test objects whose tg  depends on the voltage near the operating point (tip-up tests), and control the transformation ratio for high voltage (TTR capacitor is optionally supplied) .These test setups are designed to provide comprehensive AC insulation diagnostics. The frequency controlled high power design allows you to generate your own test signal independent of the mains frequency quality, and the hardware implements the latest technology in digital filtering of the response signal. As a result, the DELTA4000 series provides reliable results and stable readings in the shortest time with high accuracy, even in substations with high levels of noise. DELTA4000 systems work with PowerDB software for automated testing and reporting, or Delta Control software for manual real-time testing. Measured quantities include voltage, current, power (loss), dissipation factor and capacitance. The test results are automatically stored in a computer and can also be uploaded directly to a memory device with a USB interface or output to a printer. The DELTA4110 installation must be used with an external computer (not included in the delivery) and the DELTA4310 installation must be used with an internal computer.
