Description

The TM1700 Series analyzers implement a number of the latest technologies used in the latest version of the TM1800 Series of such systems. The TM1700 Series analyzers include four models, ranging from a computer-controlled remote model to a fully stand-alone model. All models can be controlled by computer using the proven CABA Win software for data collection and analysis. The robust design with powerful control technology helps the user to test the circuit breakers efficiently and reliably. All instrument inputs and outputs are protected from harsh environments found in high voltage substations and industrial environments. Galvanically isolated inputs and outputs allow you to perform the necessary measurements within a single test, eliminating the need for new settings and reconnections. The patented DualGround™ grounding method allows for safe and time-saving testing by keeping the breaker grounded on both sides during testing. The timing inputs use the patented Active Interference Suppression algorithm to ensure correct and accurate timing and pin sizing with PIR (Pre-Insertion Resistor) upstream resistors even at high interlocking capacitive interference currents. Adaptive and easy to use The software supports the user in testing by simply turning the test switch, eliminating the need to enter setup parameters. The operator only needs one click to access advanced help functions such as wiring diagrams. The 8 inch touch screen with virtual (on-screen) keyboard allows the user to use this high-level interface effectively.

Grid operators and service companies need to maintain and further improve the level of safety in their industry. Well-known international organizations, including the IEEE (US Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) and IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission, IEC), national safety agencies and trade unions are increasing the demands on safety. As regulations change, the applicable safety legislation is reviewed and the enforcement of existing regulations tightened. Maintaining a high level of security is becoming the most important aspect in attracting investors and customers. In all substations, high voltage conductors capacitively induce dangerous/lethal currents into all parallel conductors. Grounding both sides of the object under test will result in an induced current to ground and provide a safe area for testers (see figures below).
